  4. An indication that your system may need a vesa driver is when you have
  5. bright CGA colors splashing your screen, or when hi-res mode is playing
  6. in lo-res.

  8. Local Bus Video Cards

  10. Local Bus video cards are quickly becoming common as they 
  11. significantly boost performance for Windows users.  However these 
  12. cards sometimes cause memory conflict errors when used with DOS 
  13. Programs.

  15. The install program places a special driver on your system to
  16. accomodate most Local Bus Video Cards. This driver is
  17. designed to help overcome the memory conflict problem.
  18.  
  19. Performance on a local bus card may be slower as the special driver 
  20. is actively manipulating memory while playing your video sequences.
  21. If your video performance is extremely choppy, or if you have a Cirrus
  22. Logic VESA card, please indicate this on your registration card so
  23. that we may send you any updated drivers that might improve performance.
